One of the most exciting features we rolled out this year is AI-Assisted Notes, a major step forward in streamlining clinical documentation. Designed to reduce the administrative burden of notetaking, this feature allows you to record or dictate notes during consultations. Neo then automatically converts these recordings into fully formatted SOAP notes, complete with timestamps and provider details - ready for review in minutes!
The workflow is simple and intuitive. Just open the AI-Assisted Notes tab, record an observation, and let the AI handle the formatting. The result? You’ll spend less time on documentation and more time with patients.

2. Insert Provider Signature
In 2025, we introduced a handy new feature to speed up compliance and eliminate the frustration of chasing down signatures on forms and certificates.
Neo’s new Insert Provider Signature feature allows providers to save their signature once and insert it directly into forms and certificates. You can even choose to secure a signature behind a PIN for additional protection. Once saved, a signature can be selected with a simple dropdown, applied to the appropriate form, and shared or printed as needed.
This update not only improves compliance but also reduces errors, ensuring that forms are signed correctly and consistently. It’s a small change that has a significant impact on daily workflows, freeing up staff time and reducing administrative stress.

3. Share Patient Record
In 2025, we released one of the most requested features from the Neo Enhancement Request Portal: a faster, more secure way to share patient records.
Previously, clinicians would spend precious time gathering documents for referrals or client requests. With the new workflow, clinicians can compile a complete record into a single PDF and send it with just a few clicks.
The impact is immediate. Referral practices receive accurate, comprehensive records, and clients appreciate faster responses. This feature demonstrates how even small efficiencies can make a big difference in daily operations, improving both communication and client satisfaction.

4. New Features Added to Vello Integration
Vello, our integrated client engagement platform, continues to make it easier for you to connect with clients and improve compliance. In 2025, Vello received a wave of new features designed to streamline client communication and enhance the booking experience.
Post-visit communications are now built directly into Vello, including automated thank-you emails, surveys, and review links - making it easier than ever to express gratitude, gather feedback, and strengthen client loyalty while the visit is still top of mind.
The online scheduling experience has also been upgraded with the addition of direct booking, giving you the flexibility to choose between request-based scheduling or instant booking for each appointment type.
Later this month, Vello will introduce support for additional visit types beyond the current wellness and sick visits, allowing practices to tailor options such as nail trims, grooming, exams, rechecks, follow-ups, and tech-led appointments with their own custom settings.
And coming soon - one of the most highly requested enhancements - digital forms will allow pet owners to complete important paperwork ahead of time directly in Vello, with each form automatically attaching to the corresponding patient record in Neo.
5. IDEXX Payments
In 2025 we introduced IDEXX Payments, our new fully integrated payment processor for Neo. Designed to eliminate the frustrations of manual payment entry and reconciliation, this solution allows you to send secure payment links via SMS or email, store client cards on file, and process surcharges, voids, and refunds efficiently.
By removing the need to manually enter payments, reconcile card terminals, or correct errors, IDEXX Payments frees staff to focus on client and patient care. The ability to send secure payment links also supports flexible client interactions, allowing payments for prescriptions or appointments to be completed remotely, without compromising security.

6. New Integrations
Two of the most requested integrations from Neo users are on the way: VetSnap and PetDesk.
The VetSnap and Neo integration supports your practice with controlled substance management. VetSnap automatically detects discrepancies between logged drug entries and Neo invoices, alerts your team to missing entries, and ensures accurate inventory tracking. By reducing compliance concerns and eliminating manual cross-checking, VetSnap can save staff valuable time each week.
The PetDesk and Neo integration simplifies client communication by automating reminders and appointment confirmations through the Petres mobile app. Front desk managers spend less time on routine calls chasing clients and more time enhancing client experiences.
